Bible Study

Join us on Wednesdays at 7:00pm on Zoom starting January 8, 2025 as we continue the book study of What If We Get It Right? led by Kathie Bender-Schwich. Following is a recap of the sections of the book already discussed in last year’s book study group.

Children’s Sunday School

For ages pre-K children ages 3 through grade 6. Sundays September through May. Children in Sunday School begin worship at 10:00 a.m. with the assembled congregation and join their teacher following the pastor’s children’s prayer and/or the children’s sermon to study lessons from the Bible and perform activities related to these lessons, sing at select Sunday services, and perform Bible story activities for the congregation. These activities usually correspond to Festivals of the church calendar.

Wired Word

Join us on Tuesdays at 11:45am either in person or via Zoom for lively discussions on a range of topics in recent headlines. A study guide is available each Sunday on the shelf outside the church office. It can also be e-mailed to you each week. New participants are always welcome.

First Communion Class

Each Spring the 5th grade children in the Congregation will attend a First Communion Class and receive their First Holy Communion.

Diakonia™ Lay Program

“Growing in Faith” is a ministry within the ELCA committed to fostering learning environments for followers of Jesus to grow in faith. We believe that lay members of our parishes are integral to healthy discipleship in our churches and communities. This two-year curriculum allows students to move at their own pace to progress through foundational and practical learning.

Confirmation

7th and 8th grade students participate in a two-year confirmation program deepening their relationship with God. The goal is to help youth explore and affirm their faith, and to make a commitment to be actively involved in ministry. Worship, fellowship events, learning workshops, service and outreach projects provide opportunities to express, appreciate and respond to the love and power of God.
